Feb 7. 2013 – Kathi Robinson, director of professional and support services with Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville, has been appointed to the executive committee of the Catawba River District, a regional organization advancing environmental, education, and economic development in northwest Charlotte, Mount Holly, and Belmont.
“We are most pleased to have Kathi join our executive committee,” said Edna Chirico, executive director of the River District. “She is a resident of the River District and very committed to the organization’s goals to enhance education, community development, health and wellness.”
River
District programs include STEM interactive learning fairs and competitions, farm-to-school gardens at local schools, and research projects defining sustainable
community and metrics. Programs are orchestrated in conjunction with various partner
organizations including Gaston County and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and
numerous environmental, civic, and business partners.
